Eating at... Pizza Margherita [Lancaster]

So since I have just returned to university for term 2 me and my mum headed out for a final meal before she returned home. We decided to try a local Italian nearby which looked lovely and seemed to be getting great reviews.
From the outside it looks okay, not overly exciting although I love the little plants, although in the evening their lighting does look quite pretty.

Spanish 101: The Weather

Oh my how much I hate this topic. Honestly for me at least talking about the weather is Spanish is so over complicated and there are certain things that you just have to memories rather than following typical Spanish rules.

Liebster Blog Award 2017

So I was nominated for this award by my amazing best friend Beth whose blog is actual goals.
You should definitely heck her out at lifewithbee.com
She's been working really hard doing blogmas so she definitely deserves some love. On her post she gave me some questions to answer so here goes.

1. What inspired you to start your blog?

I actually had a blog way back in like 2013 and just created it for something to do outside school and just because I thought it was fun. However for this blog I was just inspired to create it as I genuinely enjoy blogging and although I find it harder to keep up with when I'm at uni I still like posting.

2. Do you have any pets, if not do you want any?

I have 1 dog, who is adorable, called Purdey and that is it.

3. What is your favourite thing about Christmas?

For me, I love Christmas because of all the decorations and festivities, all the films and songs, obviously the food. Also I just love coming back home and spending time with family and friends and not really having to worry about doing work 24/7.

4. If you could visit any place in the world where would you choose?

This is pretty easy for me, I would go to Disneyland Florida. As a child (6 and 8) I was lucky enough to go however I really don't remember anything at all so I'd like to go again so that I can properly experience it this time.

5. Who is your inspiration?

I would say that my inspiration is probably my mum and dad. Both of them have built their way up in their careers and work ridiculously hard and have always managed to give me everything I want and more.

6. What are the top three things on your bucket list?

  1. Go to Disneyland Florida
  2. Become as fluent as I can in Spanish
  3. Travel the world

7. What is your greatest achievement so far?

I think my greatest achievement so far was getting back my first year uni results just because it was such a big deal and part of it was Spanish which I had never done before.
So I'm really proud of myself for getting good first year grades.

8. What is your favourite beauty product of all time?

My holy grail beauty product would have to be Benefit's Hoola bronzer, this is because I have had it such a long time and I still have found a better bronzer. Also it just suits so many skintones and blends in beautifully.

9. Cats or Dogs?

100% dogs, I believe I might actually be allergic to cats which is unfortunate but I have always preferred dogs.

10. How would you describe your personality in one word?

Hmmm this is a hard one. I would have to say 'caring'. I'd like to think that I care a lot, I hate to see my friends upset and pretty much always put my friends first and I am always there for them whenever I can be.

11. What is your favourite memory of 2017?

My favourite memory of 2017 would be going ice-skating with my dad because I finally learnt how to do so. Especially since when I was younger I only went once and basically just held onto the wall the whole time whilst my dad showed off.

11 Random Facts About Me

Cheer Christmas Meal 2017

Friday night was my cheerleading Christmas meal. This year I convinced myself to join a society and I chose cheerleading and I am part of the Peal stunt squad. My uni have 3 stunt squads (pearl, ruby and onyx) and 1 dance squad (diamond). Go Pearlies!! <3
The meal was at 'The Crafty Scholar' which is in Lancaster town centre, I have never eaten there so I was intrigued to see what it would be like. The whole 3-course meal and 2 glasses of alcohol cost £15 which is quite a good deal in my opinion.

'Weekly Wednesday Tradition'

So this post is a little bit different as it's more about a little tradition me and my friend at uni have started doing on Wednesdays.

Both of us get a little bit lonely when at uni, she's in a long-distance relationship and I'm friends with lots of people who are in relationships (so unfortunately they're quite busy) so we both thought we'd hang out more.
Eventually this lead to the creation of 'Weekly Wednesday Tradition'.

Basically the point is that one week I cook me and my friend, Sophie, a meal and the next she cooks me one.
By doing this we both get the chance to try more food which we might not be able to make/eat normally and it saves us having to make food for that night. It means that our cooking skills are able to improve. However we also get to just spend time together and it's time that we can take out of our hectic uni schedules to just chill and not worry about everything or at least try.
